Lesson Plan - Reparations
5 mins - read about the history of Jim Crow Laws, how were they developed and how were they modified over time?
10 mins - reflect on history of those laws - how have my students seen these laws played out historically and how they do affect things today?
15 mins - socratic seminar with whole class - how do we consider how to be mindful of those laws today?
15 mins - write a letter to local lawmaker - address how to deal with those laws and what reparations should be done and why
Total time: 45 mins (one class period)
