Hello everyone! My name is Christine Boyde and I teach junior high French (level one) in the suburbs of Chicago.  I love teaching beginning language for a few reasons, however mostly because I have a front row seat as my students go from using single words and memorized chunks of language to having the ability to create with language.  Alongside that, I love to see them get excited learning about another culture and grow as global citizens.  I agree with Damon, classroom management has been a struggle since the pandemic.  Right now, the digital media that has my attention are a few Instagrams that I follow about (Paris) France.  I have a student trip coming up at the end of this course, and there are some new restaurants and patisseries that I'm plotting out on a map.  I don't have a Twitter handle or a FB site.  Looking forward to working along with you all!
