A) The locations I pinned are China, Russia, and Texas. China was where my family is from originally so it is personally significant. Russia is where geography influenced the humanities (few live in northern Russia because of the cold). Texas is the opposite - humanities influenced the geography by farming, etc.
B) I am a chemistry teacher in Los Angeles, CA and I am excited about teaching!
C) maps - they are the most recognizable feature of geography
freeways - I love studying local freeways and think that they are important to geography
land - without land, there is no geography!
As a transplanted Texan, I can attest to how people have shaped (and are continuing to shape) geography!
I can't wait to hear how you might use GIS in your chemistry class. I hope we can make this course worth your while!
