Hello, everyone!

A) The three locations I chose were: 1. Greenville, SC: personal significance to me since it was the place where I was born and I have many great childhood memories there; 2. Birmingham, AL: place where geography impacted the humanities because the city arose around the iron/steel industry specifically because of its geography, as it is at the confluence of the three major factors needed for iron/steel production--coal, limestone, and iron ore; 3. Monrovia, Liberia: place where humanities impacted the geography because it was first created by anti-slavery (but not abolitionist) activists in the US who sponsored colonization efforts to "re-settle" the formerly enslaved whose freedom they had purchased, which by the 1840s morphed into the Republic of Liberia.

B) I am a teacher in US History at a secondary school in West Palm Beach, Florida. Before starting here, I was an adjunct instructor and doctoral student in history at the University of Mississippi.

C) The first word that comes to mind is maps. I can remember my earliest classroom exposure to geography in elementary school was all of the map projects and tests that I had to do. The second word is biome. I took a physical geography class in college, and I associate the term with that class. The last term is climate, specifically climate change. The interaction of humans with the lived environment and its attendant effects with climate change is an important story of the last 100 years.
