This entry is quite interesting - it showcases a deconstructed/disembodied city made up of multiple parts. The painting seems to portray the idea of black gold, which is oil. The colonial space that the entry points to is Balogun Market in Lagos. The artist portrays the different objects therein - cars, stalls, etc - as appearing glitched. Decolonizing space for the author means that there is a discussion about the tensions between the landscape and the technology in that area. The artist recognizes that people have different perspectives about how that area ought to be used, and how people should perceive that area as well.
