It is so important to recognize the value of African ways of science and technology. In the article provided above, we see the value of the art of African blacksmiths. These were individuals who were likely largely forgotten during the study of Africa. These understandings will help me shape my classroom content - I will recognize that science does not merely belong to the European, western world, but also to Africa.
