My assumption about Islam is that the religion oppress women and that most Islamic people are very reserved people. Religion is a hard topic to teach in a classroom because there will always be a discussion on whether whose religion is the true religion. I would approach this topic by first doing a virtual field trip of a Mosque in hopes that many of my students have seen one either online or on the television. Then, I would ask if they have heard about or seen what a Mosque is. This will be the ice breaker to the lesson. I will then continue to address the origins of the Mosque and where it comes from and how it came to be. I will review who Muhammad was and why he is so important
