I hope to focus my curriculum specifically on individuals and groups in Africa that have worked to create accessible education. I think a focus on #3, Ways of Knowing and Systems of Thought will be very pertinent because I need to understand the "why" behind it all. It is easy to compare what we have here and deem other areas as having "less than," but I need to know why certain systems and routines are in place and how their access to education developed from those foundations. I think this will also help my students dispel any misconceptions by explaining the importance of why areas have different backgrounds and current practices than we do.
