I enjoyed the discussion of innovation in the video. People have innovated in order to make their lives better since the times of the Kushites navigating the cataracts of the Nile (and probably before). 

I will look at two themes within the framework when writing my curriculum about the nganya transportation system in Nairobi. 

The nganyas are painted busses that move people throughout Nairobi. I include the topic under the heading of technology because the ngangya owners constantly innovate their busses to make them more attractive to customers.

The other heading for this work will be movement and memory. In addition to innovations in suspension and sound systems, the ngangyas are moving murals with each having distinctive paintings and motifs. The art of the busses serves to preserve the memory of aspects of the population that the busses highlight.
