Three ways I can introduce students to the concept of fractals and their prevalence in African art, architecture, and cultural traditions. 

1.  Show examples of fractals in African designs such as textiles, pottery, and basketry.

2. Have students create their own fractal patterns using paper folding or digital design tools.

3. I can also connect African fractals to real-world applications in math and science, such as computer graphics, data compression, and urban planning.
