The Astrolabe that I chose is the Medieval Astrolabe. I chose this one solely on the way it looks. I think it is beautiful. During the Middle ages it was used as an astronomical instrument. They used it to tell time, measure the heights of stars and buildings, and many other calculations and observations. In Language Arts we have a unit that we focus on astronomy. I can bring up this tool and explain to my students how it was used. I can show them the importance of it during the middle ages.
