School started before Labor Day this year, which feels like ages ago. I'm trying to be more intentional about finding time to rest and enjoy non-school things even though my to do list continues to grow. I'm taking a nature class through Mass Audubon, listening to "Things Bakers Know: the King Arthur Baking Podcast," and watching "Schitt's Creek" for the first time.
I hope to share my curriculum with colleagues at my school and also with a wider audience by submitting an article to Social Studies and the Young Learner or Edutopia.
Yeah, my list is growing too. I'm curious to know what your nature class through Mass Audubon is about. I'm listening to Medical Apartheid on libby. I'm going to look up that podcast though. My 10 year old daughter has been selling her cookies 2 years at a community day and she is making a little name for herself. I like that you are reaching out to the Social Studies Department. I am trying to think how to merge or include this with our Social Studies Curriculum Children Discovering Justice. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Julie, it's very exciting to hear of your plans to submit to SS & TYL or Edutopia. I'd be happy to help support editing your piece if you'd like. Love the nature class too and would like to learn more about what it is. I've been watching the detective series Lupin (with French-Senegalese actor Omar Sy) on Netflix with my kids and it's riveting!
