I was really struck by the discussion about "governance". It focuses the narrative locally rather than trying to view works of art through an outsiders perspective. I think that doing so promotes the agency of the artist rather than something for others who are not a part of the community to interpret and give their own value. Essential Question: How does artwork communicate what is important to the artist and their community?
