Colonizing space means taking it over and not respecting the practices, people and natural resources that are already there. Unfortunately, it manifested in Nubian women's lives, by being separated from their men. The land being contested was the land of Nubia. Dr. Menna Agha’s states, they had to leave their land, ancestors, and memories to go to the New Nubia land because they were displaced by the colonizers. The river played a large part in lives of Nubians. The colonizers also didn't respect the borders that were already in place and just drew a line down the middle, of Nubia diving one group of people and massively displacing them.

Colonizers didn't understand, nor respect how Nubians lived in large homes and how those homes served several purposes. The colonizers/government made a decision not involving the people, ultimately telling them what they needed instead of asking them or researching how they lived. The government living quarters reminds me of state run projects. The first area effected was the area with the people who are the most marginalized stuck out to me because this is still relevant and a global issue among Black people. This reminded me how Black people historically have been misplaced by government. I appreciate this video and having the visuals. I wasn't aware of the term Spatial Injustice. This can be shared with my students as we read many books about people who have to migrate or are displaced due to war and famine.
