Hi Everyone!
This is Jake writing from NH where the leaves are changing and temperature is still warm! I have a wonderful group of 6th graders this year. I am currently working on writing about our teachers unions and the role they play in mediating AI in the classroom and in public ed. Happy to share when it comes out if you're interested in that kind of thing. At the end of this course, I would like to share my work with my PLC (4 other teachers) and hope to help us move to a new unit for teaching Africa. Beyond that, it would be great to write about the experience and I'd be open to working with others on it and open to whatever outlets folks might have for suggestions.

Jake, this analysis of the role of unions sounds fascinating and I would love to read it! There is such a great need for policy around AI... so glad unions are tackling it. And glad to hear of your plans to share your unit with your PLC!
