According to Dr Menna, once the British colonizers made the dam in the Nile River everything else was affected. The dam changed the geography right were the Nubians lived. Which then lead to the State to relocate the Nubian's due to the floodings. This lead to the geography, farm land, roads, and homes changing the way of living for many people.
One way I can bring this idea to my classroom might be through role playing. We can have two sets of villages and a third party can come and remove almost all the resources from one village, having an open discussion can help guide students into thinking about colonialism, resources, and geographies.
